This Jiu Jitsu based self-defense class, designed exclusively for women, utilizes grappling and striking tactics, incorporating elbows, knees and kicks. Established in 2016, the primary goal of this session is to instill in every female participant the assurance and the means to safeguard themselves through the use of real-world self-defense methods.

What to Expect During a Group Private Self Defense Class for Women

Private group lessons consist of a series of warm-ups and techniques that progress from defense from standing attacks, grabs and chokes, to the ground; with partners holding each other down and learning to escape from or control and neutralize an attacker. You will learn the theory and movement for each position then practice them in live, controlled drills. Techniques may include but are not limited to kicks, knees, elbows, palm strikes, joint locks, and chokes. The provider can adapt most moves to any level of fitness, injury or ability and every private lesson can be customized. The class will be taught by a Black Belt female coach.

EQUIPMENT: The coach will bring 2 sets of roll out mats that measure 10ft x 10ft each also, need enough flat open space to lay the mats down and allow people to walk around them. You will also be provided with kick shields and/or thai pads for the striking portion.
